Testing the markets reaction to a business's new product or service is paramount to its success. Enter Marketest, a company dedicated to providing market research.

Two words are synonymous in starting a new business or launching a new product; market research. With the restrictions placed on entrepreneur’s wallets due to the current economic situation, it is suicidal for any business to enter a new market without having conducted sufficient market research into the needs of the customers and how profitable the market will be. Marketest, now in operation for 10 years, specialises in providing affordable industry research for new businesses.

Marketest and Online Market Research

Market research has become a vital tool for any commercial business enterprise seeking a new opportunity, looking to expand into new markets, or just wanting to compete effectively and efficiently in the market. The advent of online market research has transformed the industry, making it possible for researchers to traverse international borders in minutes at an affordable cost; this has paved the way for companies such as Marketest.

Marketest was established in 2008 in France under the name Creatests, and has worked tirelessly in the online industry providing online market research services specifically tailored for new business start ups, with an eye on strategic marketing. The company currently provides local, national and international market research through their online presence; and the quality, cost effectiveness, simplicity, availability and the speed at which Marketest activates its services is unparalleled in the industry.

Gain a Competitive Advantage with Marketest

With a staff of three at their London office in Holborn and a respondent pool of over 800 000 panelists, Marketest manager, Eric Brandenburg runs a tight ship. The company associates at Marketest are well versed in panel management of qualitative and quantitative information, marketing and entrepreneurial skills, and online research, making clients online market research projects as painless and possible.

As a client of Marketest, the following procedures will be followed to begin the online research process:

  • Defining goals and methodology

  • Questionnaire development

  • Survey testing

  • Target sample processing of respondents

  • Survey responses

  • Survey results
Depending on the budget a client chooses, the online market research results that are provided by Marketest can be presented in different levels of detail or used in the identification of a niche market or a target group of consumers. As the questionnaires that are created for a client are posted online for a period of 2 weeks, the information turnaround that Marketest provides can be summed up in three words; value for money.

Entrepreneurial Success with Marketest

In today’s competitive economic market, it is critical that businesses maintain the upper hand in order to maximise profits and maintain industry success. As John Quelch clearly states in his article published on the 18th May 2009 in Businessweek Online, Using Market Research in a Recession, consumers, challenged by the economic climate, are looking for different and more effective brands and stores, and as a result the level of uncertainty for businesses entering consumer markets has increased.

As an entrepreneur, the thought of writing a business plan and embarking on a new business idea may be daunting, but with the right tools can be a resounding success. For first time entrepreneurs prior market research is critical to industry success, and with professional online market researchers such as Marketest, dreams are just one click away.

Interesting article here!

I would just be curious how cheap it is because it still looks expensive to me.
But could be a good idea as it is true that entrepreneurs are most of the time only asking their family circle (not neutral then).
